Another incredible game of cricket against Canada over 60s. Unfortunately, we lost by 1 run.

Canada won the toss and elected to bat. They then went on to set a good target of 227. In their 45 overs, they lost 7 wickets.
2 of the 7 wickets were taken by Mike Holcombe who returning after an injury took 2 wickets for 38 off 6 overs, the ever-reliable Stephen Durston 2 for 51 off 9 overs, Peter Doyle 1 for 3 off 9 overs and Gareth Edwards 1 for 36 off 9 overs.
With a target of 227 set the run chase was on !
Mike Hayden, again held the innings together, scoring an amazing 84 off 119 balls. Mike is in great form at the moment.
Mike was ably supported by Stuart Carpenter who scored a very useful 38 runs off 38 balls, Gareth Edwards with 23 runs off 19 balls and Stephen Durston with 19 runs off 16 balls.
Unfortunatly we were 1 run short. Needing 4 to win off the last ball we ended up 1 short.
Disappointing but we must dust ourselves down and move on to the next one.
