PVCA COMPLETES TWO DECADES OF EXCELLENCE.

The Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association (PVCA), founded in April 1998, has completed its two decades of excellence in April 2018. It has come to be known as one of the most professionally managed sports bodies of the country whose track record has been astonishing.

The PVCA has succeeded in fulfilling its cherished goals over the years, having expanded its scope slowly but surely. Primarily working for the welfare and benefit of senior and veteran cricketers it has also played a key role in the development of the game from the grassroots level through its Inter-School tournaments whose eight editions have already been held so far.

The PVCA is credited to have improved the fitness levels of those cricketers in particular who didn’t use to care much about it at the twilight of their first-class careers. It has helped the ageing cricketers motivated by organizing tournaments after tournaments for them besides engaging them on foreign tours.

The management of the PVCA has already laid emphasis on fitness while selecting its squad for the inaugural Over-50s Cricket World Cup to be staged in Sydney, Australia, from November 20 to December 5, 2018.

The PVCA has been holding an annual tournament for the Over-40 cricketers, the Inter-City Veterans Cup later renamed as the Seniors Cup, since its inception and the event has expanded in leaps and bounds. Then it instituted the Veterans Cup for the Over-50 cricketers before launching the Super Veterans Cup for the Over-60 cricketers. All these three events are being held every year.

The seniors and veterans cricketers, under the auspices of the PVCA, have undertaken multiple tours of England, South Africa, India, Sri Lanka, and Malaysia besides having hosted the various foreign teams.

The PVCA has taken fresh guard to continue serving the cause of the game in its trademark proactive manner. Long Live PVCA!
