Cricket Canada Masters Council is a federal not-for-profit organization that is officially sanctioned by Cricket Canada to develop and promote senior’s cricket in Canada.
Cricket Canada Masters Council consist of members who participated in the inaugural Over 50’s World Cup held in Australia in 2018. After experiencing the competition in Australia it was decided to promote senior’s cricket in Canada by having similar leagues from which a national team would be selected.
With the blessing of Mr. Ranjit Saini the president of Cricket Canada and the guidance of Mr. Mohammed Shaikh, the president of Toronto & District Cricket Association, the first senior’s league in North America was started in 2019.
The Canada Masters League is being played in Toronto, Ontario presently. We are hoping to develop and promote such leagues in all the provinces from which the national team will be selected to represent Canada.
Canadian Seniors Cricket Association participated in the inaugural Over-50’s Cricket World Cup in 2018 in Sydney Australia and this year will also be part of the inaugural Over60s Cricket World Cup to be held on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.
